Daffodil Splendor

Happy Wednesday everyone, Kia here with you today.  It is raining, and very grey in my neck of the woods, so there is nothing better than bringing some sunshine into my world.  I did that by using this beautiful Two Daffodils stamp along with the lovely sentiment stamp It is not rain to me, it’s Raining Daffodils, which I stamped on a stitched circle die cut.  I inked the stamp with distress markers and spritzed with water before stamping.  I then added extra colour using my Zig Brushes.

For the background I added a yellow polka dot paper, which I stamped the sentiment on.  I added foam strips to the back of the circle and attached, then added a bit of ric rack, along with a few sequins.  I wanted the flowers to sparkle a bit so I added some Wink of Stella, which is hard to see in the photo unfortunately.

I think this card explains perfectly my day today, rain with a bit of sparkle.

Thank you for joining in with the Art Neko Blog today.  I hope I have inspired you to find some Daffodils.

Beautiful card, Kia, and the same goes on here: too much rain! But your card makes me smile. Lovely colors.

Ooh, what gorgeous daffodils – thanks for drawing my attention to that stamp with this beautiful sunny, happy card. Fabulous quote, and I love your use of ricrac.
