Golden Woman playing Samisen

Hello Art Neko Fans, today I am sharing this golden beauty of a Japanese Woman Playing a Samisen. A Moon Gate is behind her. Check out the entire sheet here – I am on love of this Asian Influence Sumi-e Paintings.

I started with brushed gold cardstock and stamped the Plum Blossom Branch with a Tiny Butterfly in Versamark many times on the background. I sprinkled the gold embossing powder over the image and heat set it with my heat tool.

I love the beauty of these images in gold. On white cardstock, I stamped the Japanese Woman Playing a Samisen in Versamark to emboss it with gold embossing powder. Using the Big Shot and a circle die cut, I cut it out to create the circle. I had it a little off center to allow an area to add some dew drops. I adhered the gold cardstock to a white card base.  Three golden dew drops were affixed to the lower left arc of the circle, and then I added some dimensionals to raise the focal portion.  My final touch was to tie a bow on the bottom of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to scroll down to see MORE of what the talented designers have created!

Oh wow – the image is beautiful (and reminds me of a Japanese animated film we watched from the Studio Ghibli which we watched recently) but the background is amazing – it’s like metallic brocade, so gorgeous. The soft ribbon and Dew Drops finish it perfectly.
