A Rose in Summer

Hello everyone, Kia here with you today and I would like to share this card I made for today’s post.  As most everyone knows, I love Clean and Simple cards.  I like the open airy feeling they give, and that is what I was thinking while making this card.  For this card I used a couple stamps. First is the leaf background stamp, which I stamped using a citrus green ink.  I cut the panel to size and attached to a vellum die cut stitched rectangle.  I then stamped the Old Fashioned Rose 3, heat embossing with gold embossing powder, and fussy cut one of the flowers for my card.  I watercoloured the rose using Zig brushes in a lemon yellow, and the citrus leaves, then styled and attached to the raised panel on a foam dot.  I then added a strip of  gold glitter tape to my card base, and stamped and heat embossed the summer sentiment from the 4 Seasons Kanji and English, using gold embossing powder.  And to finish, a few sequins, just in case there wasn’t enough sparkle!  I hope you enjoy my card today and I will see you next time.

What a lovely light, summery card, Kia. The golden sparkle and soft colours are beautiful. That leafy background is just gorgeous!
