A Whimsical Snowman

The Joy of Winter

Hello everyone, Kia here with you today. I sure had fun doing this card. This little fellow is called Whimsical Snowman, and he sure makes me giggle! I love the pan on top of his head, and my pan’s have red bottoms, hence the red. I stamped him using a deeper blue ink from Tim Holtz Distress Inks called Blueprint Sketch, then coloured using a mix of Chameleon and Spectrum Noir Markers.  I added Gold Wink of Stella to the cookies and Silver Gel Pen to the rim of the pan and the buttons. I then stamped the Joy sentiment, also in the blueprint sketch ink.  I wanted more texture to my card, so I embossed with my snow embossing folder, then matted  with navy and red cardstock. For more sparkle I added Wink of Stella to the snow dots. It doesn’t show in the picture, but it is very pretty.  In addition, a few snowflake sequins always make me smile.

Thanks for visiting us here at the Art Neko Blog … I look forward to seeing you next time.

I think we’ve all fallen in love with that snowman! How fun to colour his pot the same as those in your kitchen. You’re giving me ideas, remember those floral enamelled ones from way back? The embossed snow must look super with the sparkle.
