Dragonfly Collage Canvas

Hi, it is Shirley posting today. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and made a canvas to share with you. This is the first one I have tried and I need a lot more practice. The canvas and supplies have laid on my craft table for at least three months. I would move the supplies over it everyday and nothing seemed to look the way I had hoped. I finally decided it was going to be finished for this post so I was glad I gave myself a deadline or it may have been laying on my table for another year. ~smile~

I used the Art Neko Stamp Dragonfly Collage #A4040006. I started my canvas by spraying it with several  Sprays to achieve the colors that I wanted.   I took hot glue and went over the canvas and smeared gold paste over it with my finger. I added the ribbon and gold embossed my image to attach over it. I had received a free pagoda in a package of supplies. I put gold over it and then added some color over it to make it match my canvas. I added a flower in the middle that I had sponged and added those pieces to my canvas. I gold embossed the dragon fly on Vellum and attached it to a frame, I then added sequins, rhinestones and gold coins. The turquoise pieces are from a corsage that my grandson had from a home coming dance. I knew would find a use for it one day.

Thank you for taking a look at my project today.

You Rock, Cowboy

Hi, friends, it’s  Shirley posting today with a new card to show you.   I used the Cowboy Up Stamp Sheet – A271FSHT.

This card could be used for a Anniversary, Valentine’s Day or maybe a just because card for the special someone in your life.  I stamped the Love On a Swing image from the Cowboy Up sheet and colored it with my Copic markers.   I used a circle die to cut the image out and then cut a three circle frames to place around the image.   I cut the frame to place under the image. I used another die to cut the “You Rock” words and adhered them to the square frame. I added little Navy hearts around the western couple.   I had some rusty stars that a good friend sent to me and added those in the corners to finish my card.

I am happy you stopped by today. We only have one more day until the  weekend,   I hope you have a good one.

Cartoon Samurai Tiger

Hi, it is Shirley posting today. I have a really cute card to share with you today.   I have used the Art Neko Images

Cartoon Samuria Tiger  and the Muted Samurai Medallion image. I fell in love with this Samurai  the first time I saw it.  My grandson is having his fourth birthday next month and I think he will like this card.

The designer paper is from the Art Neko Store. It  is so perfect for this image.

I colored my image using Copic markers and used Spellbinders squares to cut it and the layer for it. Next I stamped the Samurai circles and used the circle Spellbinder dies to cut both the image and the layer.

I adhered the circles to the card. I used dimensional to adhere the Samurai to the card. The sketch is one from Splitcoast Stampers for this week. I think it worked very well with my Samurai.

If you like these images that I have used, you might be interested in seeing the Tigers Galore Sheet in the Art Neko store.  It is packed full of wonderful images.

Thanks, for stopping by and have a great week.

Merry Christmas Gold Embossed Ornament

art-neko-christmas-ornament

Hi, it is Shirley posting and I have a pretty, but quick Christmas card to share with you today. I used the Art Neko images S1010001-Bold Star Christmas Ornament and the S1010014 Merry Christmas Text.

I chose a pretty bluish green card stock and I adhered it to a white card base. I used my embossing buddy to rub one the blue paper to prepare it for the embossing process. I used Versa Mark ink to stamp my image along with the sentiment. I then used gold embossing powder over it. For the finishing touch, I added a white bow on the gold ornament.

I appreciate your coming by today and I hope you liked the card.

Hi, it is Shirley posting today and I have an Asian themed card to share with you using the Art Neko image Teahouse on Lily Pond #PO23TS02.

I layered my gold shimmery paper and Asian designer paper over the black card base. I colored my image using copic markers and matting it over layers of the same papers previously used.  I used Asian dies to cut the Kanji and the bridge.  I layered the Kanji and popped it up with dimensional.  I adhered the pieces to the card base to complete the card.

Thanks, for stopping in today. I hope you enjoyed my card.

Back In The Saddle

Hello, It is Shirley posting today. I am sharing a cowboy card that I made using the Art Neko
Sheet Cowboy Up # A271FSHT.

This image reminds me so much of one of my grandson’s. He loved red cowboy boots and hats,  they were his favorite.   Actually he wasn’t much bigger than the little boy on the card when he started entering rodeo’s.

I kept my layout simple and I colored the image with copic markers.

I plan to use this as a get well card so I added the “Hope You Are Back In The Saddle Soon” sentiment which was computer generated.

Thank you for coming by today and looking at my card.

Wine Cask

Hello, It is Shirley Posting today. I am sharing a card I made with the Art Neko Stamp Wine Cask A3840003.

art-neko-grapes-cask

I took a napkin with grapes on it and put glue on the back of it. I  attached it to my vanilla card base. I colored my wine cask and the grapes with copics. I colored the grapes to match the ones on the napkin. I fussy cut the image and set it aside. I had a scrap piece of burlap on my craft table so I adhered it to the card base. I took a piece of heart lace and adhered it to the burlap, then added the pearls. I placed the image over the burlap, attaching it with adhesive. I stamped the sentiment  Vintage Wine A384002 on a piece of card stock and cut it out to place it over the wine cask. In the upper corner of my card I added a sticker with wine bottles on it which was the finishing touch to my card.

I hope you enjoyed the card I prepared for today.   I appreciate you coming by today.

Colors Of Fall

Colors Of Fall

Hi, it is Shirley with you today. I am excited to be posting my first card to the Art Neko blog. I used Fall Images A329 from Art Neko on my card.

art-neko-fall-leaves

I started out by stamping the acorns with Versa Mark and embossed them with gold embossing powder. I stamped my leaves onto Glossy card stock, then took some distress ink pads and drug them over the leaves. I wanted them to have more of a shiny look to them so I used clear embossing powder over the top of the leaves. I fussy cut the acorns and leaves then I assembled my card. I arranged the acorns over the burlap ribbon. Once I decided where I wanted them, I added some gold cording behind them. The final step was adhering the leaves to the embossed panel.

I appreciate you stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card.
