Dragonfly Collage Canvas

Hi, it is Shirley posting today. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and made a canvas to share with you. This is the first one I have tried and I need a lot more practice. The canvas and supplies have laid on my craft table for at least three months. I would move the supplies over it everyday and nothing seemed to look the way I had hoped. I finally decided it was going to be finished for this post so I was glad I gave myself a deadline or it may have been laying on my table for another year. ~smile~

I used the Art Neko Stamp Dragonfly Collage #A4040006. I started my canvas by spraying it with several  Sprays to achieve the colors that I wanted.   I took hot glue and went over the canvas and smeared gold paste over it with my finger. I added the ribbon and gold embossed my image to attach over it. I had received a free pagoda in a package of supplies. I put gold over it and then added some color over it to make it match my canvas. I added a flower in the middle that I had sponged and added those pieces to my canvas. I gold embossed the dragon fly on Vellum and attached it to a frame, I then added sequins, rhinestones and gold coins. The turquoise pieces are from a corsage that my grandson had from a home coming dance. I knew would find a use for it one day.

Thank you for taking a look at my project today.

This is so pretty, Shirley! I love the soft peach tones mixed with the gold, and the turquoise accents are a wonderful pop of color. That frame behind your dragonfly collage is beautiful!
