Five Sea Shells

Hi, it’s Chrissy D posting today.  I was playing with my gelatos today and I wanted to see how it looked in shades of yellows, oranges and reds as opposed to the normalblues and purples.  I stamped this summery Five Sea Shells with some Brown Staz On ink onto watercolor paper.  Then I pulled out my Gelatos and started coloring with the yellow, orange and red  gelatos.  So vibrant and cheerful!

I love the beachy feel of the sea shells, it makes me long for warmer, sunnier days than the ones we are having here in Wisconsin.  I adhered the watercolor paper to red cardstock and white card base.  Three gold sequins were affixed to the lower left corner of the card, and then I added a strip of tacky tape across the middle section of the card.  My final touch was to sprinkle the white sanitized sand across the strip of tape.

This Five Sea Shells is so versatile. I love how you could color it, or even use a multicolored ink pad to get a variety of colors.

I hope you enjoyed my project today. Thank you for stopping by!

Oh, those warm colours are fabulous! And they suit the shells, perfectly, making me think of a sandy beach on a hot sunny day. The added sand must give such great texture to this.
