Framed Bamboo

This is Framed Bamboo Poem with Bamboo Leaves. I really do love this stamp and really enjoyed making this card.  I wanted my Bamboo Leaves to be done in an olive green, but I wanted my frame and letters to be done in gold heat embossing.

To do this I positioned my stamp in my Misti and used Tim Holtz Crushed Olive Distress Ink to colour the leaves.  I have the mini cubes, so it made it easy to watch where I was stamping the ink.  I then spritzed the image with water before stamping on watercolour paper. After cleaning my stamp and used my embossing pen to ink up the frame and letters with embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  To add another layer of framing I die cut my image using a stitched rectangle die, then matted with a thin border of the same green used in the image. To finish I added some bling by way of my signature sequins in the greens and golds.

I hope you enjoy this post today, and I look forward to seeing you next time.

Oh Kia, this is just gorgeous! I like the light, bright airy feel to it. The green and gold looks so lovely, especially with your added sequins.
