Three Framed Geishas

Hi everyone!  It’s Chrissy D posting three framed Geishas today. Last week, I had the pleasure of being in Texas and meet Holly Brown in person! We have been e-mail/ penpals for over 12 years and have never met. While I was there, I dug through her stash of Art Neko images and found this beauty!  I stamped the Framed Geishas image in Black Memento Ink.  Using Chameleon Markers, I colored the Geishas adding extra shading in the hair using the Gray, black and blue markers. I always love how black hair has that hint of blue in it.

After I colored the image, I cut around the frame using Scissors. I thought the image would look cool cut out in small squares, creating a window effect. I measured the image and divided the 2.5 in x 3.5 in by 3 so they are all equal in size. I added a layer of red cardstock. This piece is glued to a black card base.   I felt like the card needed a little bit of something, so I added some feathers and paper flowers.   I love the color combination of red, black and white with the simplicity of the Geishas.

Be sure to stop back on Thursday, to see what the talented Shirley has in store for you! Have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

How great that you got to meet – it’s always fun to meet up with virtual friends! I bet you had a great time – and you certainly found a fab stamp in Holly’s stash. I love your framing, using red really adds to the oriental feel and the feather adds some suitable glamour.
