Marbled Dragonflies

Hi Art Neko fans, Welcome to the blog today, it is Chrissy D here. Today, I created a marbled polish stone Dragon fly. I stamped the Square and Circle Framed Dragonflies and Border image on glossy cardstock using Black Staz On ink.  Then I pulled out my alcohol, cotton balls and purple and gold ink refills and started dabbing the droplets of ink with the cotton balls that had some rubbing alcohol on them. It made such a FUN, INKY mess.

I love the marbling created a soft look on the dragonfly image.  I trimmed around the image and mat it on black cardstock then angled it and mounted it on a larger square of purple cardstock. The card base is purple cardstock with black and white layered on them. I used the white and gold swirls mulberry paper as an added background to add a little flourish to the card.

I stamped Hang in there in black ink. To finish the card, I used gold sequins adhered with mini glue dots. Thank you for stopping by!

Great depth perception, Chrissy. Subtle marbling and the bold image make quite a statement.

That polished stone is a wonderful background to stamp the lovely dragonfly image on – the bold black swirls look great on the soft marbling.
