Quilted Reindeer

Hello! December is well on it’s way marching to Christmas! Today I have a fun card to share with you that would be easy to mail. I especially like those kind this time of year.

I used the super cute image called Quilted Reindeer and colored it with colored pencils. I then trimmed it out and mounted it to a piece of cardstock and used a white gelly roll pen to give the impression of snow. I went for a sketchy kind of look since the reindeer is sweet and whimsical.

Some machine stitching and twine layered with a bit of Christmasy patterned paper finish my card. I hope you are inspired to make a few more Christmas cards to send out. It’s not too late!

That deer is just so cute! I’d never have thought of using pink as the background, but with all those little patched hearts it’s just so perfect – and of course the stitching is a great finishing touch in keeping with the patchwork theme.
