Simplicity

Kia here with you today to share a card I made.

I have had these Kimono papers for a bit now and wanted to finally use them, but I wanted to use them in a different way.  I think they are ever so pretty, so I decided to highlight the paper on my card.  I love the simplicity of this paper design, which is included in the Collage Sheet of 9 Japanese Kimono Fabrics, hence the name of my card and the sentiment I used.  I started with a grey cardstock base and added the medium blue cardstock. I then added the designer paper, which I framed with the darker blue cardstock.  I did not want to cover the beautiful paper with anything, so I used the medium butterfly from the Butterfly Set of 3.  I heat embossed the butterfly using blue embossing powder, then added a bit of green watercolour.   I styled the butterfly and attached just off the designer paper with a foam dot.  I stamped the simplicity sentiment in black ink, and added a few sequins to finish.

I hope you enjoy this card, and I look forward to seeing you next time.
