Paired Swans Swimming

Hi! I have a super pretty image to share with you today called Paired Swans Swimming in a Lily Pond. I just love swans, such beautiful and regal birds.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Copic markers. I really enjoy white images because you just use a light shade of gray in the shadowed areas and it gives the illusion of a white image without it being completely flat.

I paired the image with some patterned paper and finished it with some pen dots and a little paper rose. I hope you have a creative day!

Birds and Nest

Hi! Leah here with you today with a sweet card that could be used for so many occasions or just because the image is so sweet. The image is called A Family Nesting in a Cherry Tree.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the image with Copic markers. I chose some contrasting patterned paper for the background and layered it behind the image.

I added some faux stiching and  twine bow with a little gem stone in the middle. I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Bumble Bee

Hello! Leah with you today with a simple but encouraging card that’s perfect to give to someone just because. I love this time of year as everything starts to wake up and the flowers and bees come back around. I used the lovely image called The Humble Bumble Bee as my main focus and colored it with Copic markers.

The sentiment is so perfect with the bee as well. I stamped it onto some patterned paper and cut the end to be a little flag shape.

I hope your day is filled with sunshine and that you’ll share it with whomever you meet along your way. Thanks for dropping by!

Bookmarks

Hello! Leah with you today and I have a couple of bookmarks to share with you. My family loves to read and we are always in need of bookmarks!

I love the different bookmark stamps Art Neko offers and this one has the cutest sentiment, “So many book so little time.” This is the So Many Books So Little Time Gerbera Daisy’s Bookmark. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

I punched a small hole into the top and added a bit of twine. I like my bookmarks to be completely flat and smooth so as not to hurt any book pages. This is such a pretty stamp! I hope you enjoyed by project today. Thanks for joining me!

Lotus Bowl

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card to share with you that uses a very pretty image called Lotus Bowl and Lid .

When I saw this image I wanted it in blue. I did color the large leaves with a very pale green Copic marker and added just a hint of light lavender to the lotus flower. I stamped the image using Memento Luxe ink, which when completely dry is good with Copic markers. I wanted to use some of this beautiful swirly metallic paper. It’s so lovely! This one is called Cracked Silver Swirls on a Field of Ebony. I die cut a couple of mats to layer the card and simply embellished it with three pearls.

The way the light catches that gorgeous paper is so pretty! And this simple but elegant image is a favorite. I hope you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂

Cranes with Bamboo and Pine

Hello! Leah from Paper Blossoms here today and I have a card to share with you using some pretty bird images.

Cranes

Crane with Bamboo, Crane with Pine card by Leah Cornelius

This image is called (A269) Crane with Bamboo Crane with Pine. I wanted to use the image individually so I cut them apart. I then die cut scallop circles out of white cardstock and stamped each image in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I colored the images with Copic markers. I layered black cardstock behind the crane images and layered patterned paper for my card base. A row of sequins gives just a bit of sparkle. I chose muted, earth colors for my cranes.

I like how they cranes are each facing a different direction. Even with smaller stamps you can create a pretty and balanced card. I hope you enjoyed today’s creation and thanks for stopping by!

This gorgeous image is called (A404) Framed Flowers with Kanji. I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used Copic markers to color it. I really like images that have a frame and are large enough to steal the show 🙂 After I colored the image I trimmed around the frame and mounted it onto a die cut background that has some embossed stitching. I then chose some patterned paper for my card base.

I really enjoy coloring these gorgeous images and letting them shine! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you’ll create something today.

Egrets Wading

Hello! Leah from Paper Blossoms joining you today for my first post on the Art Neko blog! I just love the images Art Neko offers and am excited to share my cards with you. Today’s card features some beautiful egrets.

Wading

Framed Egrets Wading Among the Flowers card by Leah Cornelius

This lovely image is called (A255) Framed Egrets Wading Among the Flowers. I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I decided that I could take artistic liberty and make my egrets a beautiful soft yellow and purple. The frame around the egrets I also colored with a Copic marker. Using your markers that way stretches what your supplies can do for you!

I then cut several mats of cardstock to build up a layered look. A few sequins finish it off.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and go create something beautiful!
