Thanksgiving Japanese Kokeshi Geisha Tin

Thanksgiving Japanese Kokeshi Geisha

Hi Everyone! Chrissy D here and I was playing in my stamp room this week. I had SO MUCH fun creating this fun tin that Art Neko has! You can see all of the tins HERE. These tins make the most fun gifts! I used the Heart Shape Tins and thought it would make a great little Thank you gift for a friend.

To create this project, I wrapped some black and ribbon around the tin and used Tacky Tape to adhere it and the beautiful Red Tassels. Art Neko has a variety of gorgeous colors to create bookmarks or for other crafty creations! On the lid of the tin, there is a window, so to decorate that I used these FUN Red peel and Heart stickers. These are the perfect fun embellishment for your Valentine’s Day Projects (Or Anniversary, love, Wedding, Birthday, etc.)

To create the tag, I used the Circle Diecut and stamped the Thanksgiving Japanese Kokeshi Geisha in Black Memento Ink and colored her with my Copic Markers R29 and R20 for her cheeks and her bow. I stamped the Thank You from Whimsical and Kind Sayings in black memento ink and mounted it on Black Cardstock and fussy cut around it. Using Foam Dots I popped up the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my project. Thank you for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Tags

Hi there! Leah with you today to share some quick Thanksgiving tags you can make in just a few minutes. Perfect for adding to a little gift you might take if you have any plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

I first die cut some pretty tags and then using my MISTI stamping to tool to align them just right, stamped one of the images from the Thanksgiving Images and Holiday Words set. I then adhered a pretty shiny leaf embellishment and added some twine to tie the tag onto a gift bag with and a twine bow.

I think I’ll be handing these out to a few friends and family I am especially thankful for! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Cornucopia Wishes

Here in the United States, many families are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, so I wanted to share this Cornucopia of Thanksgiving Wishes with you today.  Did you know that Art Neko has Thanksgiving stamps?  You can find them HERE on this Thanksgiving Images stamp sheet (A333).  I stamped the beautiful cornucopia with Potting Soil Archival ink onto some hot press watercolor paper.  Then I pulled out some Derwent Inktense pencils and colored the cornucopia and fruits and vegetables and leaves.  I used a wet watercolor brush to blend the colors and smooth out the pencil strokes.

After all the coloring was done, I cut out the cornucopia with a circle die and adhered it to a larger dark brown circle.  I stamped the sentiment with the same Potting Soil Archival ink and trimmed it down to a narrow strip.  I found some small strips of this gorgeous Volcano Handmade Thai paper in my stash, and when I turned them over, the back side was full of these rich orange and brown and crimson hues.  I adhered these strips of Volcano Handmade Thai paper to a kraft card base.  The cornucopia was glued down over the Volcano strips, and then the sentiment was adhered with some foam tape.

For those of you who celebrate this holiday, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Have a wonderful day with your friends and family!
