The Magnificent Jellyfish

Hi Art Neko Friends! Chrissy D here sharing a project with the beautiful Magnificent Japanese Jellyfish image.

I was playing with this image and wanted to try something, but it just wasn’t turning out. Here is the  attempt I made below…

I embossed the Octopus image on the cardstock and tried to create a darker shadow around the image. I could not get the Octopus to “POP” the way I wanted. I water colored darker blues and it was not looking good, then tried a “white wash” and I felt that was even worse. Disgusted, I set the project aside. Have you ever had that happen?

I created a few other projects, and came back to this one. I decided to use it as a background image. I stamped the Jellyfish on white card stock in blue ink and fussy cut it out. Mounting with dimensionals to give it a little depth. I added Dew Drops with mini glue dots. Then I added the Just a Note saying from the Whimsical and Kind Sayings using blue ink.

I hope you enjoyed my project today. Be sure to come back and see more of our talented designers projects.

Magnificent is right – Chrissy, this is WOW! So glad you kept the old one you weren’t happy with as it makes a gorgeous background for your great fussy-cut jellyfish.
